Celebration Kids

4 months - 4yrs old

Sundays 9am & 11am
Children's Learning Center: lower level

We are the Sunday ministry to children from four months old through four years old and their parents. Our mission is to stand with parents in their responsibility to lay a Biblical foundation so each child will know, love, and follow Jesus.

Curriculum

Infants

We use a very interactive curriculum over four quarters to teach the little ones:

  • God made the world
  • God made each child
  • God made homes and families
  • Jesus loves children

The Lesson is comprised of bright colored puppets, peek-a-boo objects, stuffed animals and toys that make sounds and music to focus the little ones as the presenter and teachers sing songs about the theme for the quarter. It allows the children to see, hear, touch, smell and sometimes taste as they learn about the world God made for them. Each lesson begins and ends with attention to the Bible, God’s special book.

Toddlers

Our Curriculum continues to teach the children that God is involved in every part of their lives, that He loves them and that He sent Jesus. They learn through directed play as they visit activity centers, hear a lesson peresented with music and puppets (and other visuals) and work on a take home activity that is designed to let parents know what is taught. The theme changes monthly as we strive to build security into their little hearts that God loves them and takes care of their every need and that His Word is true.

Older Preschoolers

The Curriculum used throughout these age groups introduces children to Bible stories and the character traits that God wants to see in their lives. The children involve themselves in creative introductory learning activities that introduce them to the central truth of the day’s lesson. Worship time includes music and a bible story told in a creative way to enable children of all learning styles to learn about God and His Word. A practical application activity reinforces the truth of the lesson and guides parents to follow up at home.

Wellness Policy

Children who show signs of fever, vomiting, or other contagious illnesses should be symptom and fever free for 24 hours before coming to Celebration Kids.

Core Values

  • Child Focused: Everything in our ministry must impress upon the children that they matter to God and to us.
  • Application Oriented Bible Teaching: We teach the Bible to the children so they are able to translate Bible truths into relevant, real experiences.
  • Creative Bible Teaching: We teach the Bible to children so it is not boring. We actively engage the children in memorable explorations of God and His Word involving them in interactive learning.
  • Intentional Shepherding: We build relationships with the children. We get to know them and their families. We create a sense of community among the teachers and the children so everyone feels a part of God’s family.
  • FUN: We make instruction and learning fun so each child will eagerly seek out the things of God and experience joy in learning about God and His love and being in His house.
  • Parent Targeted: We involve, inform and train parents to be their children’s first and best teachers.
  • Safe: Everything about our ministry must create a sense of safety for the children – physically, emotionally and spiritually.

This Month in CK

All the people in our stories this month prayed to God: for help, for protection, for direction. Talk to your children about the importance of prayer throughout the month. Talk about worshipping, praising and thanking God before we come to Him with our requests. Just as Daniel knelt three times a day to worship and thank God, he also made “petition and supplication before his God.” It is important to remember to make confession a part of our prayers as well.

Bible Verse

Oh Lord God! Behold thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee. – Jeremiah 32:17

One Main Point

God is in charge! I count on Him!
