An important part of our biblical counseling mission is to equip the body of Christ in face-to-face gospel ministry. We believe all maturing believers are called to counsel biblically within the body of Christ. To that end we are committed to offering the Equipped to Counsel training each year. It is available to men and women at Denton Bible Church and surrounding churches willing to commit to a 9-month biblical counseling program.
The purpose of this training program is to enlist, equip, and encourage followers of Jesus Christ to live and counsel the gospel of Christ and His Word to people living amidst the suffering and problems of life. Course participants are expected to attend the weekly class periods at the time(s) established by the course instructor. Since the class periods will include Biblical Counseling teaching, group discussions, case studies, role-plays. It is quite important for course participants commit to be present if they intend to master the material.
