Lay Institute | A Bird's Eye View of the Bible (11AM)
This is a 9-class study of Biblical Theology. The Bible recounts a single storyline that begins at creation and continues through to the Eternal State. Biblical theology represents an effort to trace out the key patterns, symbols, and themes that bind the Bible together. This class—the first of three distinct though related series of classes—looks specifically at the major themes and symbols of the Bible. The second series will focus on the major themes that help us understand the unfolding history of the church, while the third series of classes will look more specifically at the major cultural ideologies that have animated and preoccupied modern man. We will meet in the SMC Room 211 on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM beginning February 2nd.
