Young Guns

Shaping the Next Generation of Leaders

The Young Guns Program is a nine-month intensive discipleship and leadership-training program for post-high school (usually) men from around the country designed to develop well-rounded leaders who will be able to exposit the Scriptures, defend the faith both historically and theologically, and exercise a leadership role in a local vocational or non-vocational ministry.

Participants will gain a better understanding of the big picture of the Bible from both the Old and New Testaments in addition to learning Systematic Theology and Church History. Also, they will learn how to think critically and coherently on current issues in culture as well as in the Church while being involved in small group accountability and service in a ministry. In addition, graduates have the opportunity for seminary credit.

Men, I have always found, want something that is greater than they are. Something that can involve the total commitment of their life unto the point of death… The Biblical revelation of God to man culminating in His son Jesus Christ, and His death, His return and His judgement is worth a man giving his life and dying for.

Program Info

Classrooom

Young Guns meets weekly on
Monday and Friday mornings
from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM,
Monday evenings
from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM,
and Thursday evenings
from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Retreats

Young Guns meet four times over the nine-month program for weekend retreats for focused, in-depth study on selected topics. Two retreats will be off campus, and two will be at Denton Bible Church.

Bible

Young Guns focuses on giving young men a broad understanding of the overall narrative of the Bible while diving in more deeply into select books of the OT and NT.

Cost

The cost for Young Guns is only $300 a year to offset the cost of materials, retreats, and handouts for the year.

Young Guns men will grow spiritually through intentional discipleship and involvement in the local church.
