Creating the appropriate item in Ministry Platform (MP) is an important step for planning church related activities. DBC Ministries can use MP items such as events, groups, and opportunities to organize and streamline the setup and planning process for ministry activities such as
- Facilities reservations
- Gathering event volunteers
- Organizing and communicating with groups of people
- Volunteer background check process
- Promoting items through DBC channels of communication (announcements, newsletter, website, social media, DBC app)

Events are used to set up and publish ministry activities. Details, visibility, registration, instructions, check-in, equipment and services are set in Events.

A Group is a collection of individuals who are engaged in some aspect of ministry together. Groups may be created for a variety of purposes including fellowship, teaching, serving/volunteering, and communicating. Groups are used in conjunction with Events when meeting.

Opportunities
Volunteers | Mission Trips | Programs
Opportunities are ways for individuals to get involved in DBC; they're essentially the classified ads in a newspaper. They can be set up for volunteer positions, short-term mission trips, as well as programs such as GAP or Women’s Discipleship Training.

E.G.O. graphics must be 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall and should have very limited amount of text.

Group
To create a Group :
- Go to the Groups page or Groups - Ministries Allowed page.
- Click the + New Group button.
- Fill out the appropriate fields
- Click Save.
