Steps for Hiring a New Employee

Before hiring, contact HR to ensure that your job is correctly posted to the DBC jobs page.

Initial application process…

  1. Have the prospective employee go to dentonbible.org/jobs, select the job they are applying for, and fill out the application.
  2. When Human Resources receives an employment application, the hiring manager will be sent an email with the applicant’s application and resume if one is submitted.
  3. Once the hiring manager confirms with Human Resources which applicant they would like to move forward with, the applicant will need to fill out the Background Screening Consent Form.
  4. The Hiring manager must then obtain permission to hire the prospective employee from the Senior Pastor, and then e-mail Tom’s confirmation and approval to Human Resources.
  5. The Hiring manager must also complete the Employee Information Form.
  6. Once these two forms are turned in to Human Resources and the background check, reference check, and MinistrySafe are completed, the employee can be officially offered the position.

If approved and the applicant accepts the position…

Human Resources will send a link to the new employee to complete online onboarding. The new employee will be asked to complete the following:
