Newsletter
Denton Bible Church’s Newsletter email is sent out weekly on Wednesdays at 10am (due to some rare time sensitive delays, this may vary). The purpose of DBC’s churchwide newsletter is to provide our church congregation with information about upcoming ministry events, church news, Sunday service information, etc.
Submission Deadline
Submissions for the Newsletter must be submitted by 5pm on the Wednesday before to be included in the following week’s Newsletter.
Considerations
- Please limit your promotions to 2 weeks maximum. If you need to announce your event further out, consider submitting a “Mark your calendar” or “Save the date” promotion for one week and then resubmit your promotion later leading into the two to three weeks prior to your event.
- Please limit your newsletter submissions to a maximum of 2 promotions per week, per ministry
- If we receive a high quantity of submissions for a particular week, we may need to exclude your promotion for that week, especially if it’s been requested for several weeks or has already been promoted and isn’t an event that’s more time-sensitive.
- Please note that your newsletter submission may be edited for content due to flow, spacing, etc.
- For weekly/regularly scheduled ministries, please limit your promotion to once a month.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be made by a DBC Ministry or sponsored by a DBC Ministry.
- Please limit your promotion to 100-125 words maximum (not including the title or links).
- In the box titled “Additional Information”, please list any website/email links that will be used as a source of contact information that we will hyperlink and/or tie to your graphic. If you’d like a specific link tied to your graphic image which is different than the link in the content text, please specify.
Graphic Guidelines
- Image format – .png or .jpg files
- Color mode format – RGB for web display
- Graphic image size:
- Width – 600 pixels (exact, any graphics larger than 600 pixels will be resized)
- Height – 338 pixels (it can be less or more but no taller than 400 pixels)
- File size – preferably under 150kb
- Tip for how to save your graphic in Photoshop so that it doesn’t lose quality and is small sized file. Make sure it’s 600 pixels wide then save by the following: File>Export>Export As then choose PNG under the drop-down menu for file settings. Then select “Smaller file (8-bit), then click export and save it.
- If you don’t have a graphic and would like one tied to your announcement, please indicate what overall subject or theme the image should be and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Website Custom Sections
Custom sections can be designed to highlight a ministry's E.G.O. on the ministry webpage. They are very customizable and highly visible when the webpage is viewed on mobile or desktop devices. A two week lead time is requested. Ministries will be responsible for providing content to be used in the design of the section such as...
- Text for titles, buttons, descriptions, etc.
- Graphics/images/logos to be used in the section design
- E.G.O. links/MP ID#'s to connect the section to the appropriate item
